South Korean manufacturer Samsung will produce its premium flagship gadgets, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, in India. This is to satisfy domestic demand. The most expensive and high-end Samsung gadgets will be released in India on August 18. Pre-orders with promotions will open at midnight on July 27. Samsung SouthWest Asia President and CEO J B Park stated that the India facility in Noida would produce both the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5.
Techarc is a company that conducts industry research and analysis. It predicts that by 2023, revenues from foldable (including flip) smartphones will account for more than 1.8% of all smartphone sales.
According to the prediction, approximately 6.35 lakh foldable smartphones will be sold in India this year. This is less than 0.5% of the expected total volume of sales during that time.
After four months since its launch, Samsung began producing the Fold 4 and Flip 4 series in India in December. Samsung to manufacture Galaxy Fold 5 Flip 5 in Noida.
Raju Pullan, senior vice president at Samsung India, stated that Indian users will receive the Galaxy Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5 right away. “Consumers in India look for things that are economical, aspirational, and enhance their lives in general. Even in rural markets, I see this. We anticipate tremendous uptake for new categories if these are made available to consumers,” he said.
